Here you can see some signs designed for the Bulgarian Ministry of Environment
back in 1988. They were intended for display at national parks and other nature
preserves as a warning to the public that it is forbidden to disturb particular natural
objects, animals and plaints. The basic red circle shape was selected because
it is officially adopted throughout Europe for all forbidding traffic signs and thus
its meaning is highly recognizable by the public. The white symbol in a black silhouette
of a human hand indicates the protected natural category.
